PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma: a natural resource which can be extracted from the blood and used for topical cell regeneration. PRP facials make use of these naturally occurring healing properties to bring back youth and radiance to the face.
PRP facials are replenishing, nutrient-rich treatments, designed to make use of the body’s own natural resources and incredible capacity for healing. Using absolutely no artificial materials whatsoever, PRP facials are fantastic for both subdermal tissue repair, and surface concerns such as crow’s feet, dark circles, sun damage, acne scarring and obtrusive pores
PRP facials are skincare treatments that have rapidly swept the beauty circuit, becoming many people’s go-to procedure for a quick and lasting beauty pick-me-up.

PRP Facials have an incredible ability to brighten the face, making it look more plump, hydrated and healthy as well as free from fine lines and wrinkles. People flock for PRP treatments because they combine the best of both worlds, being something of a comprehensive facial and an instant facelift in one. But don’t just take our word for it, take a look at what it has done for some of our patients in the past.
How does PRP work?
Platelets in the blood contain hundreds of proteins called ‘growth factors’ which are crucial for healing damaged or diminishing soft tissue. It is the platelets that are at work during the clotting process as our skin attempts to restore itself. PRP is plasma that is 5-10 times more concentrated in platelets, so by isolating this miracle element from the blood, we are able to target and dose particular areas in need of rejuvenation.
Blood is first drawn from the arm, and then placed into a centrifuge which rapidly spins the blood sample, prompting it to separate into 3 components (The plasma, the PRP and the cellular layer which contains both red and white blood cells.) The concentrated PRP layer is then harvested and reinjected into the face in the same way you might administer botox or dermal filler.

STEPS
Treatment Step by Step
Detox
This step is going to increase lymphatic circulation in your skin. Better lymphatic circulation not only helps move out toxins but also increases blood flow, providing extra oxygen to invigorate the skin. The skin is hydrated and supported by fresh lymph, restoring tone and firmness.
Cleansing and Exfoliation
A vacuum-based abrasion tip will gently smooth away dead skin cells while delivering serum directly to the fresh new skin beneath. This serum is brimming with ingredients to revitalise and support your skin, such as lactic acid, glucosamine, antioxidants, and botanical extracts, all of which are customised to treat your skin’s needs.
Brightening Agent
Now that pore-blocking old skin cells have been swept away, a glycolic and salicylic solution is applied to gently break up congestion in the pores. This will brighten your skin and at the same time prep the pores for the next step.
Extraction
Unlike many facials, the extraction process is very gentle. Salicylic acid and honey are used to draw out blackheads and other impurities. This is an important step to ensure your pores are clean and able to benefit from the tightening effects of the treatment.
Hydration
Now that your pores are clear and dead skin cells have been removed, your fresh new skin is ready to be treated. This step nourishes your skin and drenches it in moisture, with a mix of potent antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, and peptides and multi-peptides to support collagen.
This step will leave your skin soft and plump with moisture, combating the appearance of wrinkles.
Rejuvenation
Finally, red and infrared LED light is applied. This will soothe your skin, reducing redness, and stimulate the production of collagen. It even helps your skin naturally produce vitamin D. You will be left with skin that feels soft, smooth, and invigorated.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is hydrafacial?
HydraFacial is a multi-step treatment that uses patented technology to cleanse, exfoliate, extract and treat the skin. During the treatment dead skin cells and impurities are removed and the skin is hydrated with antioxidants & peptides. Unlike other treatments, HydraFacial can be had as often as weekly or monthly to achieve a fast and long lasting result.
What steps are involved in hydrafacial treatment?
- DETOX: The first step performed is a lymphatic drainage, whereby the circulation of the lymphatic system is increased, therefore improving blood flow to the skin, as well as the elimination of toxins.
- CLEANSING & EXFOLIATION: Dead skin cells (as well as other impurities) are gently exfoliated to reveal healthy, new skin. This is followed by the application of a serum containing salicylic acid.
- EXTRACTION: water-assisted suction removes blackheads as well as impurities found in the skin. This is assisted by a specially formulated serum.
- HYDRATION: A hydrating mixture replenishes and hydrates the treated skin.
- REJUVENATION: LED light will help to stimulate collagen (increasing skin fullness and firmness). It will also reduce redness and stimulate vitamin D production for a healthy, summery glow.
How does hydrafacial work?
HydraFacial treatment works by targeting the lymphatic system of the patient. This is because our lymphatic system regulates fluid levels and gets rid of toxins from the surrounding environment.
The fluid inside this lympathic system is called lymph, and it can become contaminated and impure over time, causing our skin to look and feel worse. HydraFacials extract unwanted waste from the lymph, draw essential moisture to the surface of the skin, and replace any toxins with healthy ingredients.
Why should i use hydrafacial?
A free, no-obligation consultation is given where we check your suitability for the procedure and assess your requirements so that we can provide a solution for you.
This includes a skin assessment. We then discuss realistic results and any other relevant information
Who is suitable for hydrafacial?
Generally speaking, Hydrafacial is suitable for all age groups and skin types. A form will be filled out at your consultation to rule out any conditions that may make you unsuitable.
What results can i expect to see?
In several published studies conducted by leading U.S. plastic surgeon Bruce M. Freedman, MD, FACS, author of over 40 publications in medical journals and textbooks, the HydraFacial hydradermabrasion technology was clinically proven to be effective for facial rejuvenation. In particular, Dr. Freedman studied polyphenolic antioxidant levels within the skin and how hydra-dermabrasion compares to other skin rejuvenation procedures.
How long will the results last?
As HydraFacials help to replenish the skin, we would recommend a course of monthly maintenance treatments to keep skin in tip-top condition
